Travel Deep, Co-Design Billboard Project

Commissioned by and co-designed with Studio Producers at People United and Kran (Kent Refugee Action Network), we produced a meaningful and welcoming piece that aims to spark questions and speak to the experience of arriving in the UK as a refugee or asylum seeker. I created the final design to incorporate images contributed by young people from KRAN during a two day workshop. "Travel Deep" Payers Park, Folkestone ( The reverse of the Gilbert and George billboard ) “ is the first public art installation from the Co Design Studio, believing in making art collaboratively, with the overall aim of shifting the balance of who holds the power to make art for the public realm.
